About

Life can be really hard sometimes

Children and parents alike will have seasons of trials and struggle. We all experience our own unique challenges, frustrations, disappointments, and uncertainties at times.

Guess what? Personal issues are MAGNIFIED in parenting and family life. Your own rough edges rub against your child’s rough edges, and it’s painful and uncomfortable.

Parenting is a crazy heavy load, challenging even the best parents. Sometimes you can benefit from the counsel of an objective listener.

Your problems are welcome here

We all have problems! Let’s work through them together. I want to partner with you in supporting your child and lift some of that weight off your shoulders.

Whether you’re looking for specific help for your child or to strengthen your parenting skills, I am here for you. Perhaps, you just know that something is ‘off’ but can’t put your finger the problem. That’s okay, too! We can work together to discover just what’s going on and what to do about it.

My goal is for every family that walks into my office to feel welcome, safe, and accepted.

Smoothing out the rough edges

My mission is to provide real hope and real help to families. I offer practical solutions and strategies to address your family’s specific needs and challenges.

We will work together in a comfortable and positive environment that promotes understanding, self-expression, and a training ground for resilience. You and your child will learn how to navigate the world with each other in greater harmony.

Finding connection and growth for your child

I absolutely love entering a child’s world and discovering the little things that make them uniquely wonderful.

Unearthing the roots of the most challenging behaviors or confusing emotions and supporting the child in their healing and growth are my specialties.

Nothing brings me more joy than to really understand a child and to help a parent use that knowledge and understanding to connect more deeply and fully with their child. This allows them to join the child in the healing process.

Hope is here

I can’t wait to join you in this chapter of your family’s story. With time and effort, things will get better for your child… and your family! I promise!

A little bit more about me

I have always loved kids and have been especially drawn to those facing particular challenges or needing extra support.

Throughout my life, my interests have tended to center around children. When I was 10 years old, I started volunteering to hold babies in the church nursery and babysitting neighbor kids. I’ve just always had a love and knack for connecting with little ones, even when I was still little myself.

Looking back on my life over the past few decades, I see the rich tapestry of experiences and opportunities I’ve had to work with and learn from kids, parents, educators, and specialists. Throughout this time, I simply adhered to my love of children and my commitment to make a positive difference in their lives and the lives of their families.

And here I am now, living out my passion and life’s mission to return joy and connection to children and their grown-ups.

I think I have the best job in the world. I help children know their worth, find new ways to cope with hard things, and develop healthy relationships with others. I get to support and encourage parents, who are working so hard to do their very best for their kids.

In my office, we celebrate tiny baby steps and huge leaps of growth. Together, we create lasting positive change. This change may begin with playing with dinosaurs or baby dolls, reading books, or making happy messes with finger paints and glitter. I reach children by starting where they are.

My work is an incredible privilege and a huge responsibility, and it brings me more joy than I can say.

When I am not working, I find happiness and refreshment in spending time with my family, exploring in nature – especially around water, and singing in choir.
